Day 14 Best Rush: When did you get your best rush of the year?

Probably my favorite feeling in the world is when I suggest something to someone, be it a book, a TV show, website anything. There’s something gratifying about knowing a person well enough to say to them “Read this. You will like it.” I told a friend to start reading Ender’s Game this year and then later Ender’s Shadow. He’s gone his own way now to finish the entire series. There’s nothing more gratifying than knowing that your opinions actually matter to your peers and aren’t just tossed away.

Day 11 The Best Place: A coffee shop? A pub? A retreat center? A cubicle? A nook?

I don’t think I can respond to this post well. Not because I haven’t discovered any new places to hang out anything of the sort but because I am a firm believer in the idea that it’s not the place that makes a location exciting, but that people you share it with. I could tell you of all about the new and exciting bars I’ve found, all the comfortable patches of grass in Central Park or the toy stores in The Village but it would be pointless. It wasn’t the places that made them great it was the people I shared them with. And that’s all I have to say about that.

Day 12 Best New Food: You’re now in love with Lebanese food and you didn’t even know what it was in January of this year.

Sushi, it’s that plain and simple. I have discovered that I actually have a fondness for sushi. Not all of it though but that’s mainly because I’m allergic to shellfish. Salmon Nigiri is by far my favorite.

Day 10 Best Album: What’s rocking your world?

I can’t even think of what to say here. I want to give some kind of epic introduction to the album I listened to the most this year. It’s an old album older than me and probably you. It’s not even a genre a care for. Regardless of this though Led Zeppelin 1 is the album I go back to time and time again when all I want to do is sit back close my eyes and listen to music.

You know, now that I think about it. I do read a lot of blogs. The only thing is that I don’t really follow any. I’ve been using StumbleUpon for nearly five years now and I use it a lot. Like more than I probably should. In doing so I happen to stumble on a lot of blogs and read nearly every article that it leads me to. So I do read a lot of blogs and I probably did discover some great ones this year. The only problem is an itchy trigger finger and the little green button on my browser.

Day 8 Best Moment of peace An hour or a day or a week of solitude. What was the quality of your breath? The state of your mind? How did you get there?

I don’t do it so much anymore because I’ve been caught up in a lot of things lately (Cod mainly) probably my favorite time of night is space in between one and two o’clock in the morning. That’s when everything just seems to really slow down. If I bring home any work with me that’s when I’ll do it, it’s usually when I’ll get my reading done and if it’s warm enough I’ll even go out for a walk. At that hour most of the world is asleep and it is my oyster. Although considering I’m allergic to shellfish that may not be the best thing ever…

Day 7 Best Blog Find Of The Year: That gem of a blog you can’t believe you didn’t know about until this year.

You know, to tell you the truth blogs were never really my thing (which I suppose is funny considering where’ you’re reading this from). Not without trying mind you. I’ve tried following a few blogs before and some people just don’t seem to care about the people that read their site. Not enough to reply to a comment or a question anyway. I mean there are a few webcomics and a picture blog or two I may follow but nothing with real substance.

The only actual blog that I follow is thatgirlallie’s (that’s twice I’ve promoted you by the way) and it’s simply for that fact that I interact with her. Be it over tumblr or twitter. What’s the point of reading a blog if you can’t interact with it’s author?

Day 6 Best Work Was there a conference or workshop you attended that was especially beneficial? Where was it? What did you learn?

Yeah, I help run a family business… The words workshop or conference don’t really apply to me. I realized after reading ahead on the list that there are probably going to be a few days that I may do nothing more than a small blurb for or just flat out skip.
