As you can obviously tell, I haven’t posted anything in a while. That’s mainly because I’ve been busy with a side project that some friends and I have started on. For no particular reason aside from the fact that we feel like it we’ve started watching AFIs 100 greatest movies and then reviewing them. None of us have any real film experience aside from being film buffs but then again I’ve seen people critique things with far less experience.

We’re also working on our own top 100 film list. I’ll have my own personal draft posted up in the next few weeks but I’d be really interested to know a few movies you’d all post on a list like that.

Day 17 Best word or phrase: A word that encapsulates your year. “2009 was _____.”

I did a lot of this, this year.

Sometimes it worked sometimes it didn’t.

Day 16 Best Tea: I can taste my favorite tea right now. What’s yours?

I can’t really speak for this. I only just recently discovered tea. By just recently I mean three days ago. I decided to buy a few bags of raspberry (I always forget that damn p). So far it’s been the best tea ever. Well I guess unless you want to count all the damn peach iced tea Snapple I drink. I don’t really think it counts though.

Day 15 Best Packaging Evar: Did your headphones come in a sweet case? See a bottle of tea in another country that stood off the shelves?

I honestly thought I was going to have trouble with this one. I couldn’t recall seeing at at a store or bying anything online that came in an interesting looking package. I went to (like I have for nearly every other #best09) facebook for help. Hoping that a picture somewhere would remind me of something. It did.

My friends and I started microbrewing this year. We’ve made all kinds of beer. From a Canadian Ale:

We even tried to dabble (and failed) at making mead:

All these labels were made either by myself or one of them. Naming and labeling our brews was part of the process and honestly I think the most entertaining.

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
